ABOUT US

Advance Physiotherapy is a physiotherapy clinic located in the heart of Clare, South Australia. 
 
Advance Physiotherapy is passionate about a holistic approach to physiotherapy, not just treating the affected site but also investigating the underlying reasons and biomechanics causing the injury and addressing these issues to reduce the risk of recurring problems.

Annie
Clinic Owner

Annie is a APA titled musculoskeletal physiotherapist. Annie graduated with a Bachelor in Health Science Physiotherapy in 2008 from  Auckland University of Technology (AUT), and then complete a Master in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 2008 from AUT. Annie has been teaching Pilates for over 13 years and has a specific interest in biomechanics, particularly in sport and pain management.

Outside of work Annie enjoys time with her family and has a passion for   running, cycling, swimming and surfing!

Ellie

Ellie joined the Advance Physiotherapy team in February 2016, after completing a Bachelor in Physiotherapy at UniSA. Ellie has recently returned from maternity leave and will be working part-time.

Ellie has a keen interest in chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation.  When Ellie is not hanging out with us she is chasing after tractors, animals and children.

Amy

Amy joined the team in February 2019, after graduating with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy from

UniSA in 2018. 

Amy has an interest in chronic pain management, sporting injuries and hydrotherapy. She visits the local nursing home weekly.

In her down time she is an avid hockey player and umpire, and when she is not chasing a ball around she is throwing one to her adorable puppy.

Taylah

Taylah is a local Clare girl, who graduated from University of South Australia in 2017 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy.

She has post grad in matwork Pilates, Advance Dry Needling and Sport Physiotherapy. She also has special interests in hydrotherapy and chronic pain management. 

Outside of work, Taylah is a keen sportsperson, which is where her passion for rehabilitating sporting injuries comes from.

Abbey

Abbey graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of South Australia

Abbey is interested in managing chronic pain conditions as well as rehabilitating acute injuries throughout the community

Outside of the clinic Abbey enjoys bush walking, playing AFLW and is keen to be a part of a local netball team

Amy

Leanne

Amy Trengove is our Accredited Practicing Dietician. Amy is a local health professional with 10 years of dietetic experience. As a rural generalist, Amy can provide nutrition counselling and support across the full spectrum of dietetics. Her current key interest areas are childhood nutrition, irritable bowel, eating disorders, and just generally improving everyone's relationship with food. Amy is passionate about changing the way people think about food and their bodies with a focus on nourishing our whole selves by putting the love back into food.

Leanne is our Friendly Casual Receptionist who works 1 day a week. Leanne is known as the "Mum" of the clinic and is always bringing in baked goodies. When she isn't keeping us inline she is off travelling, dancing and spending time with Family and Friends.

Introducing the newest member of the Advance Physiotherapy team, Dietitian, Amy Trengove. Amy is a local health professional with over 5 years of dietetic experience. In recent years. Her key areas of interest are diabetes management, women's health and childhood nutrition with goals to move into the sports nutrition arena and develop her skills as a breastfeeding counsellor

Our Classes

OUR CLASSES

Equipment Pilates - A beginner to intermediate class aimed to improve flexibility, balance and build core strength.  
Equipment Cardio Pilates - Reformer based pilates targeting a full-body workout. This class aims to get the heart pumping. Offering a 40 minute class at either the beginning or end of your day or perhaps a quick 30 minute workout during your lunch break. 
 
Express Pilates Class - Our express class uses the same principles as our Pilates class in a 30 minutes Wednesday lunchtime or Friday morning session for those on a short time frame.
Mums & Bubs - This class is tailored for postnatal mothers who can exercise in a supportive environment with their new baby. Assisting in gaining confidence with exercise and restoring your pelvic and abdominal strength using Pilates techniques.
Strength & Balance -It is never too late to improve your strength, balance and aerobic fitness. Using specific exercises to increase your mobility, body awareness and strength to reduce your risk of falls.
Youth Pilates & FreeForm - Aimed at kids aged between 10-15 years. A dynamic approach to core strengthening and flexibility using freeFORM boards. A class aimed at a beginner to intermediate level of fitness and core strength. "FreeFORMING" is a whole body, movement based exercised tailored around the principles of Pilates and YOGA.
